Indoor Air Quality

Indoor air quality is associated with the age and construction of your house. Older houses have a tendency to be more leaky and dusty while newer houses sometimes may be too tight, causing air to become stagnant. We offer a group of products that will improve both of these conditions. Older houses often never have their ducts sealed at the plenums, boot, or registers. This allows not only conditioned air to escape but also dust and attic air to enter the living space. All of these joints can be sealed with a product called mastic, preventing leakage. Media filter cabinets installed at the indoor unit better protect the equipment, filter out more dust, and allow the system to operate less restricted than traditional 1" filters at the grills. Ultraviolet (UV) lamps installed above evaporator coils keep mold from growing on the coil and algae from growing inside the drain pan.

 

Finally, and in our opinion, maybe the most significant improvement can come from having a whole house air purifier.
